I came to the US in December 2003 to live the American Dream. I started teaching beading classes, hand embroidery and jewelry making. I bought my first Nolting longarm machine, Nora, in May 2006 and started professionally quilting a few months later. I added my second Nolting longarm machine, Abby, in 2007. Also in 2007, I added the IntelliQuilter computer system to Nora and Abby.
My mission has always been to create well-written patterns that quilters of all skill levels could read and use over-and-over again. My patterns include larger print, a full set of cutting instructions, and detailed steps that allow you end up with a completed quilt that you are happy with.
I intended to create a simple pattern that you could win prizes with, that did not require embellishing and did not have an overly quilted, "crunchy" result. Out of this, the Karma Simplicity series was born.
I teach classes at Pieces & Patches in Lexington and here at my studio. My classes are kept small so I can focus on helping my students throughout the process.
I offer all-over and custom quilting services, with over 1300 available patterns.
I highly recommend the Quilter's Academy series of books and offer many of the products suggested. Browse my online store for books and products to help with your quilting.
